The SpeakEasy Band is a group made up of local Cincinnati musicians who love to play 1920's era American music including Blues, Classic Hot Jazz, Tin Pan Alley and Ragtime. Often appearing as a trio the group's mainstays are Eric Evans (guitar), Tom Beck (upright bass) and Sarah Johnson (vocal, guitar, ukele). All are long time Cincinnati musicians who have worked with The Sidecars, The Dancing Pigs, The Hot Six and Cadillac and Catfish. The group may have different configurations and may add a player or two or three or may appear as a duet but always bring their passion for the great music of the flapper and prohibition jazz age.
